Tracy Rounds was born and raised in Nova Scotia, where her ancestors arrived from Europe and New England in the 1700’s. She attended school in Bass River, Truro, Fredericton, Port Elgin and Amherst. She received a secretarial certificate from NSCC in Springhill in 1994.
Following her education, Tracy spent seven years working as an academic assistant at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. In this role, she coordinated the Center for Nanomaterials Research at Dartmouth (CNR@D), and Research Experience for Undergraduates program.
Tracy returned to Nova Scotia in 2010 and has worked for the Ocean Tracking Network since October 2011 as an administrative assistant. Her family includes three children – Robert, Rebecca and Edward – and her husband of twenty years, Nathan.
