Please complete the travel and accommodations form to confirm your attendance so that we may plan for the right amount of people. Registration forms and abstract submissions are due by April 29, 2016.
Please note that the deadline for direct booking of travel by OTN has passed. Therefore, you are responsible for booking your own travel. When doing so please be considerate of the fact that costs tend to increase the closer you are to your departure date and that these costs are being covered through the OTN HQP travel fund. If you do not book your travel at least 2 weeks prior to your planned arrival in Halifax you will not be reimbursed. Travel arrangements will be reimbursed following the Symposium.
Per NSERC requirements, all flights must be booked at the lowest cost in economy class. Seat selection fees are allowable.
Meals will be provided during the Symposium on Wednesday (breakfast, lunch, and supper), and Thursday (breakfast) if you are attending the data workshop. Additional meals for non-Halifax residents during their travel or stay will be reimbursed based on Dalhousie University per diem rates.
Standard accommodations for HQP are in Dalhousie Residences (either Howe Hall or LeMarchant Place) in either single suites, or 2, 3, or 4 bedroom suites. The cost will be paid directly by OTN. If you wish to book shared accommodations, please indicate one or more roommates or indicate your willingness to share a room with up to 3 roommates of our selection. Those who missed the March 2nd deadline will be booked into a single residence room.
Premium accommodations are available to book at the Lord Nelson Hotel under the OTN Room block or at a hotel of your choice. Premium accommodations will be reimbursed at a rate of $50 per night per HQP (but no more than the cost of the room for shared rooms). The cost of the hotel will be paid directly by the occupant, and a credit card will be required upon check-in.
