Dr. Kristi Miller is the Head of the Molecular Genetics section
at the Pacific Biological Station, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, as well as an
adjunct professor in the Department of Forest Sciences at the University of
British Columbia. She leads a diverse program that applies molecular
genetics/genomic approaches to aid in sustainable fisheries management,
aquaculture, and conservation. Her current research involves the application of
functional genomics technologies to identify conditional states that exacerbate
performance of salmon during transitions between freshwater and saltwater.
