Tony Farrell is a Professor and Research Chair at the Centre for Aquaculture and Environmental Research (CAER). His main research interests are integrative and comparative animal physiology (cardiorespiratory dynamics, myocardial oxygen supply, coronary physiology and pathology, blood flow regulation, hypoxia and anoxia tolerance), salmon migratory passage, exercise/handling stress and recovery, sustainable aquaculture, and aquatic toxicology. Current projects include studies on the spawning migration of Pacific salmon and climate change, triploidy and fitness in rainbow trout, and see lice on salmon.
