ICFT presenters have the opportunity to produce a special edition of Environmental Biology of Fishes, containing presentations from the conference. Many of you have already expressed interest in contributing a paper. Environmental Biology of Fishes is an international journal that publishes original studies on the ecology, life history, epigenetics, behavior, physiology, morphology, systematics and evolution of marine and freshwater fishes. Empirical and theoretical papers are published that deal with the relationship between fishes and their external and internal environment, whether natural or unnatural. The journal concentrates on papers that advance the scholarly understanding of life and draw on a variety of disciplines in reaching this understanding.
Environmental Biology of Fishes publishes original papers, review papers, brief communications, editorials, book reviews and special issues. Descriptions and submission requirements of these article types can be found in the Instructions for Authors.
In order to ensure the timely peer-review and diffusion of your research, we will require that you submit your paper, FORMATTED FOR THE JOURNAL AS DESCRIBED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS, through the online submission system of the Journal. Improperly formatted/poorly prepared articles are automatically rejected by the journal. The Editorial Management system for the journal website will be modified to include a check box to indicate that your submission is part of the special issue of the journal devoted to the ICFT. MANUSCRIPTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 1 OCTOBER 2015 to be included in this special issue.
To efficiently manage the editorial process, we ask those that are still planning to submit a manuscript that you to please confirm this by sending an email to Tracy Rounds (Tracy.Rounds@dal.ca).
The journal has also asked us to bring to your attention a couple of points:
- Individual manuscripts are PUBLISHED electronically as soon as they are accepted and edited by Springer (Online First).
- Authors MUST understand that there can be no further edits, additions or corrections once a manuscript is accepted and published electronically.
- The sooner authors submit manuscripts the sooner they can be put through the system. Submission can occur any time up to 1 October 2015.
